One owner. One business. The next mile.

Protecting what you built. Leading it into its next mile.

I’m Prem Varghese, founder of Mile 38 Ventures. I’m seeking one enduring small business to personally own, operate, and grow with care.

A marker for a different journey.

Mile 38 represents a turning point in my life—the decision to take a less certain road and commit myself to building something enduring.

I share that journey with my wife, Rehma, a dentist whose work is also grounded in skill, care, and trust, and our golden retriever, Zeke. We understand that a business is rarely just an asset. It can be a family’s identity, security, and legacy.

That perspective shapes the kind of owner I hope to become: present, responsible, and committed to earning trust through consistent actions.

“The most meaningful part of the journey may still be ahead.”

I understand that selling is personal.

A business carries years of early mornings, hard decisions, loyal employees, and customers who learned to trust your name. Choosing who takes it forward is about far more than a price.

My career has been built around earning trust and taking responsibility for the details—from managing the daily accounting of a $60 million logistics business to guiding families and business owners through important financial decisions. I bring that same care to this search.

I am not looking to collect companies or manage from a distance. I am looking for one business where I can learn from the owner, stand beside the team, and take responsibility for its next chapter.

Continuity first.
Thoughtful growth second.

01

Listen before changing

The people closest to the work understand what makes a business special. I will begin by listening—to you, the team, and the customers.

02

Protect what works

Your reputation, customer relationships, and culture were earned over years. My goal is to preserve those strengths, not replace them.

03

Grow with patience

I am looking for one business to lead from the inside. Growth should be thoughtful, practical, and built to last—not rushed for a quick exit.

The kind of business I hope to call home.

I’m seeking a healthy, established company with a proud history and room for steady, practical growth. I’m industry-flexible and especially drawn to businesses where service, trust, and people make the difference.
